Coffeebar has been a place on my list for hot minute, but it's a bit off the Midtown path. My wife has been looking for a good decaf that we can get on the regular so we've been hitting up everyone local who roasts their beens fresh so we can buy them whole. They don't do pour-over, which is weird, but their roasts are pretty good and I found the drip coffee much more pleasant than expected. The kids enjoyed the cookies and pastries, so big bonus there.
Their mercy is also pretty great. Their packaging is really top-notch. No wonder they won an Addy for package design. But man, that lion logo and the "Coffeebar" wordmark? Dank. Like, "I have 10 fonts on my computer and I'm using one of them" college assignment bad. Leah Chew: if you're still there, convince the owners to throw it away and start over. Those coffee bags are fantastic. And the loose leaf tea packaging? Superb.
