Multiple Grammy award-winning jazz pianist and world renowned singer, Diana Krall, returns to Reno’s Grand Theatre! Krall is the only jazz singer to have eight albums debut at the top of the Billboard Jazz Albums chart. To date, her albums have garnered five Grammy awards and eight Juno awards, and have also earned nine gold, three platinum, and seven multi-platinum albums. Her unique artistry transcends any single musical style and has made her one of the most recognizable jazz artists of our time. Paul Anka

Anka Sings Sinatra: His Songs, My Songs, My Way Join us as we welcome singer-songwriter and 20th-century hit-maker, Paul Anka, to Reno’s Grand Theatre. The 1950’s teen idol wrote and performed memorable hits like “Diana,” “Put Your Head On My Shoulder,” and “Puppy Love.” His talent for song-writing earned him the respect of his peers – and a junior role in the notorious Rat Pack – and made him a key figure in the music industry. Anka went on to pen hits for everyone from Buddy Holly to Tom Jones, and even wrote the theme song for The Tonight Show. Of course, Anka’s greatest hit was written for his idol, Frank Sinatra. Anka rewrote the French lyrics to the song “Comme d’Habitude” with Sinatra in mind, creating the enduring classic, “My Way.” Now, Anka is celebrating more than six decades of his legendary career with a global tour, including one spectacular performance at Grand Sierra Resort. Kurt Elling

With a fourteen-year run atop the DownBeat Critics Poll, a dozen GRAMMY nominations, a GRAMMY award and eight Jazz Journalists Association awards for “Male Singer of the Year,” jazz vocalist Kurt Elling promises a standout performance accompanied by the 18-piece Reno Jazz Orchestra. His music and wit appear to the full range of music lovers, from the novice jazz fan to the most jaded jazz hipster. Elling does not regularly perform with big bands so this will be a real treat for all to experience a super-star performance with this virtuoso vocalist and compelling storyteller featured with the RJO.
